Our Peru office was established this year and although the\nmembers are few, they bring great value to the company and have proven to be\nvery hard-working. The project manager for the Peru team is Estefania, a\ncharismatic and energetic person who always looks out for the team. This is her\nstory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estefania was born and raised in the city of Arequipa; a\ncity located some hours away from Lima. As the youngest of 5 siblings, there\nwas rarely a dull moment in her life. In fact, she has always been a very\nactive person, and loves adventure sports like rafting, kayak, waterfall\ndiving, and so on. She\u2019s also an avid fan of trekking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI absolutely love mountains, being from a city full of\nmountains\u201d she says, excitedly. \u201cOne of my goals is to one day climb one of the\nvolcanos in my city\u201d. Arequipa is famous for its volcanos, which are actually\nactive. One of the most famous is the Misti volcano, and people from all over\ngo climb it for a thrilling adventure and wonderful sights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Something that has always marked Estefania\u2019s life is\ntravelling. When she was 16 years old, she travelled to Germany for 3 months as\npart of her school program, and since then, she realized there\u2019s a whole world\nout there to see. This made her decide she didn\u2019t want to stay in Arequipa.\nThroughout the years, she has gone on many trips around the world and in Peru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe biggest country I\u2019ve been to is Canada, and the\nsmallest is Luxembourg. Both of these countries are really nice, though I\u2019ve\nbeen in Canada the longest. I\u2019ve also been to several countries around Europe.\u201d\nEstefania also hopes to be able to go to many other countries, and even visit\nthe Indonesia team on a trip someday.<\/p>\n\n\n\nVisiting beautiful countries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Estefania originally wanted to go to college abroad but she\nwasn\u2019t able to do so, so she studied engineering in Arequipa for five years.\nHowever, her life in college was very interesting as she was able to do and\nlearn many things and meet many friends along the way. After graduating, she\nstarted working right away in Arequipa; but she always knew she wanted more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Family trips were always frequent for her as well. On one\ntrip to Europe with her mother, she decided that she wanted to get a master\u2019s\ndegree in Germany, or somewhere abroad. In fact, she felt constrained in her\nhome city and went to Lima looking for bigger and more exciting adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\nA beautiful family!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
While in Lima, Estefania was finally able to fulfill her\ngoal of studying abroad; as she got a scholarship to study in a master\u2019s\nprogram that sent her to Holland for 3 months and to Canada for another 3\nmonths. This experience was very enriching for her, and further helped her\ndevelop her career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After her return to Peru, Estefania took some time off to\nrelax in her hometown. However, she soon decided to move to Lima for good. For\nthat purpose, she started searching for a job in Lima, and that\u2019s when she saw\nan ad by 24Slides. <\/p>\n\n\n\nAlways ready for adventures!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Upon seeing the ad, Estefania did some research about\n24Slides and was immediately drawn to the company. \u201cI knew immediately that\nthis company was the right one for me\u201d she states. \u201cAll the ideals and vision\nare so aligned with my own, that I even stopped looking for other jobs; this\nwas the only one I wanted\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course, at first there was a bit of hesitation, as the\ncompany wasn\u2019t officially established in Peru yet; however, she decided to take\nthe risk. Full of excitement, she took all the tests and was hired. Soon, she\nmet the whole team and an office was quickly selected; making the Peru office\nfully operational in record time.<\/p>\n\n\n\nHaving fun with the Peru team!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
With hard work and good humor, the Peru team has achieved\ngreat results under Estefania\u2019s guidance as Project Manager. And the\nsmall-office close environment is similar to 24Slides\u2019 beginnings in Malang. Steadily,\nthe team is growing and learning, and perfectly coordinating with the Indonesia\nteam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s always important to take care of the work environment, in order to be truly happy. In my experience, this is one of the most valuable lessons I\u2019ve learned.\u201d With this view in mind, Estefania always makes sure to bring positive energy to the office and continues fostering a great atmosphere for the whole team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
