At 24Slides we\u2019re very proud to have so many talented employees. This\ntalent mixed with our passion and love for each other and the company is what\nmakes 24Slides great. And when talking about talent, one person that comes to\nmind is Anwar, one of our design managers with an artist\u2019s soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anwar has always been gifted in graphic arts, and he has loved painting\nsince he was young. In fact, he always wanted to be a painter and his family\nsupported and encouraged him as best as they could. This allowed him to develop\nhis talent freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But his talent isn\u2019t just limited to art. Anwar used to be in a choir\nand really enjoys singing. He has a lovely voice and he\u2019s a charismatic singer\nwho\u2019s not afraid to sing in other languages \u2013 even Spanish!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Somewhere in between junior high and high school, as Anwar learned more\nabout the world, he realized it\u2019s difficult to make a living as a painter and\nchose to study Visual Communication Designs when he got to university.<\/p>\n\n\n\nArt by Anwar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
As soon as he graduated from university, he got a job in a big company.\nHe was able to learn many things and gather a lot of experience as. Although it\nwas his first job, it was really interesting and enriching. As he was in charge\nof marketing and design for one of the biggest malls in Indonesia, it was a\npretty big job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt made me really proud\u201d he says, reminiscing. \u201cTo see my designs on\nbig billboards in such a big city and be able to say: wow, I made this!\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anwar worked in that company for about 4 years. But even though things\nwere going well for him there, he later felt the need to relocate to Malang due\nto his mother\u2019s health issues. As both of his brothers were already married and\nhad moved in with their wives, he was the only one left to take care of his\nmother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He moved to Malang as a diligent son and started looking for\nopportunities there. It didn\u2019t take him very long, because one of his old\nclassmates, Habibi, offered him a job at 24Slides. Anwar applied to the company\nand was hired. That was 5 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think 24Slides is a really cool place full of young people. I used to\nwork in a big company before, and there were many different people of different\nages, but here, it\u2019s mostly young people, so it has a nice design vibe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\nFamily & Team<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
When Anwar joined the company, there were only around 20 employees. As\nit was a small group, it was fairly easy to connect with everyone and Anwar\nsoon started to feel as if he was in a family. His outspoken and playful\npersonality makes him a valuable person that\u2019s easy to relate to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know how they see me in the company. I think I\u2019m very straightforward\nand outspoken, so when I see something is wrong, I will say it out loud\u201d he\nlaughs \u201cmaybe they don\u2019t like me because of it\u201d. But sure enough, Anwar is a\nvery well-liked member of the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anwar is also fond of foreign movies; especially French movies and\nlesser known movies from Argentina and other countries. But rather than just\nwatching foreign movies; he also enjoys travelling to foreign countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI haven\u2019t had a lot of time to visit many countries, but I have been\nable to travel around Indonesia and some neighboring countries, such as\nSingapore and Japan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\nTravelling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
However, Anwar never imagined he would be sent to Peru to work for a\nmonth. \u201cGoing to Peru was a different experience altogether. I felt thrilled\nand challenged to come to Peru because I was actually going to work, and not\njust to travel.\u201d Originally, Anwar didn\u2019t think the company would grow so big\nthat a new office would be established in a different country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been really great to see the growth of the company, and I feel very\nproud to be a part of it. I think this company is really unconventional; in\nhere, I\u2019m not stressed with the deadlines and clients, even when there\u2019s a lot\nof pressure, because I know I have a great team. It doesn\u2019t even feel like\nwork\u201d.\n\nAnd wherever the future may take him, Anwar believes\nhe will always continue to be himself and do the things he loves, while watching\nthe company keep growing bigger. \u201cLet\u2019s grow big enough to take over the world,\none slide at a time!\u201d\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
