{"id":7573,"date":"2024-07-24T17:15:40","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T17:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/24slides.com\/blog\/?p=7573"},"modified":"2024-11-27T20:58:51","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T20:58:51","slug":"painting-hope-the-journey-of-our-visual-healing-project-in-malang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/24slides.com\/blog\/painting-hope-the-journey-of-our-visual-healing-project-in-malang\/","title":{"rendered":"Painting Hope: The Journey of Our Visual Healing Project in Malang"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At 24Slides, we value art in all its forms, but this time, we wanted to go a step further and contribute to a very important cause for our Indonesian office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Visual Healing Project aims to help children with cancer diagnoses<\/strong> alleviate the effects of their medical treatments through a special visual experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While medicine is essential for their recovery, this project harnesses the creative skills of our volunteers, <strong>embracing the healing power of art in the daily lives of the patients<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discover all the details below!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><br>The Power of Collective Synergy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re incredibly proud of the outcome: two radiant mural artworks at Saiful Anwar Hospital in Malang, Indonesia. But equally, we take pride in the unwavering commitment and effort displayed by each 24Slider from the very beginning of our fundraising journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/24slides.com\/blog\/healing-through-the-power-of-art\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">our talented colleagues created unique artistic pieces<\/a> specifically intended for fundraising. In June 2022, this vision came to life as <strong>we auctioned 22 amazing artworks<\/strong> <strong>with the support of our entire community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the necessary funds in place, we began bringing the long-awaited Visual Healing Project to life in July 2024. Partnering with local organizations, Sahabat Anak Kanker (SAK) and Malang Mural Family (MMF),<strong> we spent our weekends creating two beautiful murals for the Pediatric Ward at Saiful Anwar Hospital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like any work of art, it\u2019s better seen than described. Here is a brief overview of the project from our volunteers themselves!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Visual Healing 2024\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SyAIMcoKxB8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><br>Our Long-Term Goal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With this project, we aim to bring hope and brightness into the patients&#8217; lives and, hopefully, improve their stay while they get better in the Pediatric Ward. At 24Slides, we believe in the healing power of art and its positive impact on the well-being of any oncology patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>\u201cOur main goal is for <\/em><strong><em>the children not to be traumatized by medication so that chemotherapy can run smoothly and increase the hope of recovery<\/em><\/strong><em>.\u201d<\/em><\/p><cite>&#8211;<em>Indah, Volunteer and Design Manager at 24Slides Indonesia<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We are delighted to know that this volunteering experience is not only beneficial for the children in the hospital but will <strong>also remain in the memories of many of our 24Sliders:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>&#8220;Despite the physical exhaustion, I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with my friends outside the office for this project. This was my first time venturing into mural art, and I&#8217;m grateful for the enriching experience. As a volunteer in the Visual Healing Project, I&#8217;m thrilled to have contributed meaningfully to SAK and MMF.<\/em><strong><em> I hope the children from the Pediatric Ward find joy and peace in the murals we created.<\/em><\/strong><em>&#8220;<\/em><\/p><cite>&#8211;<em>Feronika Wulandari, Volunteer and Design Manager at 24Slides<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>&#8220;We&#8217;re proud to launch the Visual Healing Project, an initiative designed to support our young heroes (cancer survivors) at the Pediatric Ward. collaborating with local change-makers to amplify the project&#8217;s impact<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are profoundly grateful for the support from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mlg.mrl.fmy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Malang Mural Family (MMF)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sahabatanakkanker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sahabat Anak Kanker (SAK)<\/a>, whose expertise in mural art and commitment to making a real difference in the community has been crucial to the
