24Slides, the Danish presentation design company with over 280 employees across offices in Denmark, Indonesia, Peru, and Ukraine, is preparing for an increased focus on artificial intelligence—while strengthening its position as the world leader in slide design.
The new CEO is 46-year-old Nikolaj Bastiansen, who brings solid leadership experience from the Danish Armed Forces, Novo Nordisk, and most recently, Syntese. He has extensive experience in building strong organizations and driving strategic transformation.
Over the past 13 years, 24Slides has built a strong market position through its proprietary platform, which delivers presentation design with transparent pricing and a 24-hour delivery guarantee. Today, the company serves global clients and is ready for the next step—from a startup/scale-up to an established market player.
A Company Built on Values
24Slides is 100% owned by founder and outgoing CEO Tobias Schelle, who from the beginning has had a different approach to leadership and business. Despite receiving offers from investors, Tobias has repeatedly declined external funding to retain full control and ensure the company can pursue its purpose: creating opportunities and a better future for 24Slides’ employees and local communities.
“At 24Slides, we define ourselves as an Impact Business—we go to work to make a difference. For every slide we redesign, we create opportunities and jobs for incredibly talented people,” says Tobias Schelle.
New CEO—But Tobias Is Staying
The appointment of Nikolaj Bastiansen does not mean that Tobias is stepping away. Quite the opposite.
“A company like ours needs to be future-proof. One of the most common questions we get is how AI will impact us. That is exactly the area I’ll now focus even more on,” Tobias explains.
At 24Slides, we see enormous potential in AI and have made a significant commitment in this area. We already actively use AI in our daily operations and have established cross-functional teams that continuously test and improve our use of the technology.
Culture and Leadership as a Priority
New CEO Nikolaj Bastiansen is taking the reins of a team full of ambition and drive.
“When I was introduced to 24Slides, I had no doubt. Getting the opportunity to join a company built on strong values, with a particular focus on social impact—and helping take 24Slides to the next level so the business can grow and its impact expand even further—is something I’m truly excited about.”
